Want to make a difference? Join our team! Safe Animal Shelter offers the opportunity to serve your community by becoming a Safe Animal Shelter Board member. If you have professional skills to offer our Board of Directors, such as event planning, fundraising, managerial, accounting, banking, finance etc) we are looking for a few inspired people to join our team.

We would like to grow our board and have a few openings. We meet monthly and also have sub-committee meetings where participation would be needed.

If you have the skills, time and a passion for animals, consider joining our team.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a temporary safe haven for abused, abandoned, lost and unwanted cats and dogs until adopted into a permanent home and to advocate spay/neuter as the only means to control animal over population. We are a "Home Until They Find A Home".

Description

The Safe Animal Shelter has operated as a "no kill" facility in Clay County since 1991. Over the years, Safe has accepted and cared for literally thousands of dogs, cats into loving permanent homes.

We need your help. While volunteer duties at the shelter are not glamorous, your time and energy make a BIG difference in the lives of our animals.
