ORGANIZATION: The Salvation Army San Diego Regional Office

Support The Lakeside Community Center by leading a morning walking group for seniors!


Qualifications and requirements for this position:

  • Must be able to commit to one hour a week from 11 am-12 pm on Fridays, for three months or more
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries as required and appropriate
  • Have strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and participants

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare a daily plan for each class that includes stretching and slow paced walking
  • Lead assigned walking group for a minimum of a three month period
  • Document student attendance, progress, and areas of need
