Wesley Housing’s After-School Program is designed to provide a safe and welcoming environment for elementary children at its Community Resource Centers (CRC). Heavy emphasis is directed toward academic improvement and social skills development, both of which are identified areas of weakness for at-risk children.
We need patient and creative volunteers to work in a small group setting to improve math, reading, and writing skills for the 2015-2016 school year.
Homework Helpers are needed for a minimum of 1 hour per week, until June 17, 2016 at the following Community Resource Center (CRC):
Whitefield Commons CRC: Thursdays, 3:15-6:00pm: 106 N. Thomas Street Arlington, VA 22203
Must pass a criminal background check and complete a volunteer application. Orientation and training provided.
