Help students in the Ferguson-Florissant School District with their homework and learn some artistic skills from the artists that started the program and others who will provide programming throughout the school year. If you're an artist, we need you! Your skill set is paramount in helping these students reduce stress through creative activity. If you're not an artist, we still need you. These children deserve to provided with the best after school homework help we can provide them after the trauma and emotional fatigue resulting from the death of Mike Brown and the subsequent uprising that followed.

About Artists as Tutors

Location:

10266 W. Florissant Ave., Saint Louis, MO 63136, US

Mission Statement

Artists As Tutors was founded in response to the events in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014. We saw an opportunity to support young students who need supplemental education assistance and an empathetic ear.

Our goal is to provide students with homework help and share our skills in music, visual art, creative writing and theater. As artists we bring a foundation of dynamic learning that can benefit students’ practical and cognitive skills.

We want to enlist the educators, parents and community members that share our interest in helping these young students. We currently serve children in the Ferguson-Florissant school district, 4-6 pm Mondays and Wednesdays at Dellwood Recreation Center.
