Classroom assistant needed for employees of Children's Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital to learn basic computer skills. Circulate during class, offering individual help to students as they follow the lesson of the instructor.
Skills/Qualities:
Must have patience with adults, many of whom will be working on a computer for the first time. Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences, speaking slowly to non-native speakers of English.
Fluency in English to explain concepts and answer questions effectively.
One class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays 2:30-4:30
Another class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30-4:30
Volunteers will ideally be able to assist with a class on both days each week, but one day per week is fine too.
