The Resource Contributor is responsible for helping to provide up-to-date and relevant resource materials for use by both clients and staff.
Training for all of our opportunities is done in house, so no prior experience is necessary, and knowledge of the military is not required. Our positions have flexible scheduling during the hours we are open, and we are able to offer childcare and mileage reimbursements while you volunteer. We have many great opportunities to build your resume, meet new people, have fun, feel appreciated, and give back to the community! Resource Contributor
Major Responsibilities:
- Identify and research appropriate client focused resources to include internal and external publications
- Help to maintain office resource library
- Collect and/or help create relevant resources for staff
- Help distribute resources within the program and to on-base/community venues
- Provide updates on current resources
Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain a nonjudgmental demeanor, objectivity, and confidentiality
- Ability to listen, and communicate
- Ability to present a professional, friendly, and objective appearznce to clients/commands/community
- Ability to identify with the mission and serve as a NMCRS Ambassador
Professional Development Objectives:
- Remain current on programs, policies, and procedures and attend required training

Description
The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a private, non-profit, volunteer, service organization. As a Center of Excellence, it is committed to ensuring that all available resources are used to assist personnel of the Naval Service--active, retired, and their eligible family members-- to achieve financial self-sufficiency and find solutions to emergency needs.
