- Help with Feeding, watering and caring for Goats, Sheep, Chickens, Ducks, Mini Donkeys, Horses, and a couple Mini Herefords.
- Assist with and learn all about basic animal husbandry.
- Attend classes (free) and learn specific skills pertaining to farming and agreculture.
- Learn about Sustainable living through hands on DOING!
- Learn how to care for, saddle and ride horses.
- Earn Community Service hours for College, honor society, or court ordered community service.
- Make a difference in the lives of others!
- Enjoy a visit to the farm to experience farm life, without the daily commitment (Unless you wish to come daily, which we would enjoy!)
- Pay it forward by taking what you learned, and teach others, either by bringing them to the farm, and guiding them through the learning process yourself, OR sending them to us and let us teach them, we enjoy watching others GROW!

Welcome to Schwartz Farms! The Andrew R. Schwartz Foundation is a nonprofit 501c 3 organization that reaches out to community members in need, with the idea of "Teach a man to fish, and he shall always have plenty." To that end, we have "Schwartz Farms," the "hands on," teaching facility for the Foundation. At Schwartz Farms we teach families in the local community how to farm, on a small, natural and easily sustainable scale. This allows families to supplement their food supplies with fresh milk, eggs, meat and veggies they have learned how to grow and produce in and around
There is always something to do at the farm as it hosts over 300 animal residents including Ducks, Sheep, Goats, Chickens, Cows, Horses, Rabbits, Mini Donkeys, and even "Tom" a Rio Grande Turkey. Each day these animals need care to survive and flourish. They need new shelters built and maintained, daily feedings, periodic medical attention, grooming, and of course a whole lot of love & attention. We have many programs including an incubation program for the ducks and chickens, horse therapy with the farm horses.
