Mission Statement
Strengthening Kids & Community Through Animal Interaction
Description
TRAK is a not-for-profit program available to the youth of the Tucson community who are with or without specific challenges. The focus of the program is to offer participants the opportunities to provide service to people and animals of the community. This gives an often-rare experience to be a service provider. Participants will receive specific skills and training that will aid in their efforts to help themselves, each other and their community.
TRAK and its more than 100 animals are known for providing comfort to children with physical and emotional disabilities and illnesses as well as those with social, behavioural or self-esteem issues.
We know that caring for the animals improves self-confidence and social skills, helps develop a sense of responsibility and work ethic and provides an opportunity to learn communication and self-awareness.
