Greetings! The Colorado Springs Food Rescue is looking for Spanish speaking inviduals who have a passion for healthy cooking and/or nutrition.
Being a low overhead food redistribution organization, we hold a variety of grocery distribution programs throughout the low income/low access neighborhoods throughout Colorado Springs. A key goal with these programs is to implement educational programming around nutrition, recipes, and community cooking nights. These programs empower residents on food justice issues and nurture communal connections in the process.
Interested in educating in the fields of nutrition, cooking classes or food justice? Let us know!

About Food to Power
Location:
917 E Moreno Ave, 130, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, US
Mission Statement
Food to Power is a non-profit organization whose goal is to create a more just and less wasteful food system. We facilitate the sustainable redistribution of food "waste" to agencies that feed hungry, homeless, and low-income populations while educating communities about and advocating for food justice and the reduction of structural poverty.
Description
Food to Power functions through a volunteer based direct redistribution programming, picking up food that would otherwise be thrown out and delivering that food directly to an organization that will disperse that food to those in need. These volunteers mainly deliver the food by bicycle.
