Friends of Madera Canyon assists the US Forest Service in maintaining the ecological diversity of the Canyon through education for children and adults. Volunteer opportunities include: (1) Serving as docents in the 4th grade School Nature Walks program; (2) Greeting visitors to the canyon on weekends by working at the Visitor Information Station that welcomes visitors to the canyon; (3) Keeping the canyon clean; and (4) Helping older and disabled members of the community to enjoy the wonders of Madera Canyon. Please consider helping people enjoy the environment and volunteer.

The mission of the Green Valley - Sahuarita Volunteer Clearinghouse is to place volunteers with organizations that need their help.
Description
The Green Valley - Sahuarita Volunteer Clearinghouse was created to promote volunteerism in the Green Valley - Sahuarita Arizona area. The Clearinghouse works with 50 organizations, referring volunteers to them and helping them recruit and retain volunteers. The Clearinghouse was created under the auspices of the Pima Council on Aging, the Green Valley Council, and the Joyner Green Valley Library. It is staffed by volunteers and is led by an active advisory board. the Clearinghouse annually sponsors a "Volunteer Showcase."
