Hello Everyone! We are very excited to host our last adoption event of the year on Saturday, December 19th! But our dogs need a ride there! The dogs that need a ride to the event are in the following areas: Los Angeles (zip:90036 and 90026) Malibu (zip: 90265) We also need help through out the event. The event will run from 12pm-6pm and we are looking for volunteers to help throughout the event. We do ask that you come prepared to attend the ENTIRE EVENT or 3:30-6pm unless you contact us for special circumstances. The address is 508 N. Doheny in West Hollywood 90048 and the break down for the day is below: 12-1pm : Set up- assembling cages, putting out tables, setting up tents, putting water bowls and treats in each cage, filling water bottle, hanging signs, etc. 12:45-4:45pm : This is the fun part when our goal is to get the pups adopted! We will need people filling water bowls, giving treats, keeping the pups cool (spraying them with water bottles) and happy, collecting donations, directing potential adopters to employees, putting together food/treat bags for foster pick-up and anyone committing to attending 6 events can walk dogs! 4:45-6pm : clean up- disassemble all cages and tables, take signs down, empty water bowls, but all supplies back in storage/load car (this part is just as important as setting up so please don't leave early!) We are a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs, the day they are to be euthanized, from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. We do NOT take dogs in ... we rescue only from shelters. The Ace of Hearts Foundation is in memory of "Ace", a wonderful American Bull dog who was rescued from death, and touched the lives of many! (Especially founder Kari Whitman!) We rescue all breeds...and don't discriminate against any!

We need Standby Volunteers daily!
Emergency Volunteers/Stand By's
This may seem like the least helpful, but actually our stand-by's always save us & the dogs! We need you!
You give us the days and times you are available and we add you to a list. Then, if something comes up that day- you will be the first one we call. This helps us reach out to volunteers with availability that day instead of calling our entire volunteer list. If there is a day, half a day, or even a few hours you can volunteer to be placed on a "call in case of an emergency" list, let us know! This can be for many different tasks, and almost
always requires some driving. We try very hard to plan things in advance, but if there is a last minute opportunity to save a life, get a dog adopted, or a foster emergency, it helps to have a handful of people we reach out to first!
We are in desperate need of standby volunteers!
