The Media Relations Intern works directly with both the Marketing department & Development department to assist with building relationships throughout North and South Carolina on behalf of the Chapter. The internships goal is to increase our number of media sponsorships, in-kind donations, and circulated PSAs. Responsibilities include: developing working protocol for contacting media outlets, soliciting media sponsorship, tracking circulated media, and coordinating media content to be promoted.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Marketing Development to develop working protocol for contacting media outlets.
  • Solicit media sponsorships/in-kind donations/circulation of PSAs via phone and email to media outlets.
  • Update and manage lists of media outlets and contact persons.
  • Coordinate which media content to promote through direction of Development department.
  • Track circulated media in order to measure progress.
  • Create a report and presentation at conclusion of internship.

Unpaid Internship. Full or part-time schedule available (within regular business hours - Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm).
