**Time is 3-5pm
Not your typical litter removal event, the Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup invites volunteers to participate as a "Scientist For A Day". Partnering in teams, volunteers work to identify and record what types of littered items are found and how many items there are at each location. Description
Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is a not-for-profit organization that engages citizens and communities through environmental service and education. An affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, we began as a group of concerned residents who saw that litter was becoming a problem in their community through lack of community pride, limited knowledge of disposal options and urban growth. To combat these problems, we coordinate the Great American Cleanup in April, the Hillsborough River & Coastal Cleanup in the fall, the Adopt-A-Road and Adopt-A-Shore programs, community cleanups and an annual litter index survey.
