Zoo To Do is a major source of funding for the Dallas Zoo. With the proceeds from the event, the Society is able to continue in its mission to support the Dallas Zoo as an outstanding center of education, entertainment, and wildlife conservation.
The party is held in the Giants of the Savanna exhibit at the Dallas Zoo. The evening begins with cocktails, a stroll through the Savanna, and the opening of the silent auction. It continues with more than 25 of Dallas’ finest chefs and restaurants providing food at different stations throughout the event. It is a true "grazing" event. Music, dancing and other live entertainment continues throughout the evening and is followed by a spectacular live auction and late night dancing under the stars.
Volunteers are needed to help in a variety of ways:
Registration Volunteers (4:30pm-7:30pm)
Help with checking in and taking credit cards. MUST be comfortable operating a computer. Online training available week of event.
Greeters (4:300 pm - 7:30 pm)

Auction Volunteers (5:00pm-10:00pm) - These individuals will help float with auction bidding tablets in the Savanna; will be assigned a "zone" in the Savanna to stay in, roam and encourage bidding.
Mystery Box Floaters: (5:00pm-10:00pm) These individuals will help float throughout the live auction during our "mystery box" item. Bidders will raise their bid numbers and volunteers bring them a mystery box with a surprise inside.
