Join the Student Conservation Association at Gateway National Recreation Area in Brooklyn as we restore Jamaica Bay with a grand-scale coastal clean-up! With the support of American Express, SCA is mobilizing volunteers coast to coast this MLK Day and throughout the year in celebration of the National Park Service Centennial. Please join us to Find Your Park and honor the legacy of Dr. King.

WHEN: Saturday, January 16th, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

WHERE: Floyd Bennett Field, Gateway National Recreation Area, Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11234. Registration and kick-off will take place at Ryan Visitor Center. (Free volunteer shuttles will depart from Brooklyn C ollege / Flatbush Ave. See details at http://FindYourParkSCAnyc.eventbrite.com.)

WHAT: Help restore Jamaica Bay with a grand-scale coastal clean-up!

BRING WITH YOU: Wear long pants and sturdy shoes. Please bring a water bottle and extra layers as the event will take place in any weather!

PROVIDED: SCA will supply breakfast and lunch for volunteers as well as work gloves and all project supplies. Free Find Your Park t-shirts will be provided for the first 500 volunteers to register!
