Your Way Home Montgomery County

On Wednesday, January 25th, groups of volunteers will be asked to search multiple areas of the county for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The count is directed by Your Way Home Montgomery County and our goal is to understand how homelessness impacts our community. This information is extremely important in terms of the resources that are needed to help us end homelessness in Montgomery County.

As a street count volunteer, you will be asked to assist an outreach team in Abington, Willow Grove, Ambler, Cheltenham, Lansdale, Souderton, Lower Merion, Ardmore, Norristown, Bridgeport, Pottstown, or Royersford from 9:30 p.m. on January 25th to 1:00 a.m. on January 26th. Your team will canvass pre-determined locations for homeless individuals and families who will be asked to complete a questionnaire in regards to their experience. To ensure that volunteers are fully equipped to take part in this event, training will be provided by the Department of Housing and Community Development. This is a valuable opportunity for anyone who would like a better understanding of the homeless experience in our community. Is that you?
