Our mission
Friends of Stark Parks is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the development and use of Stark County Park District parks, trails, facilities, educational programs, and events.

Our vision is to be the community leader in promoting the responsible use of Stark County’s natural resources; in educating our community and enlisting its involvement in conservation education; and in supporting facilities and programs available through the Stark County Park District.

Our goal is to support the Stark County Park District as a partner in preserving and protecting the quality of life for all who live, work, and play in Stark County through fundraising, grants seeking, volunteerism and promotions.

Treasurer: Knowledge of fund accounting systems, internal controls, and financial planning. This person should have the ability to analyze and present financial statements using excellent oral and written communication skills, leadership ability, and team orientation. Duties to include:

1. Monitor receipt of all money deposited in the name of Friends of Stark Parks.
2. Ensure that all funds are properly disbursed.
3. Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
4. Ensure that all financial reports are filed on a timely basis.
5. Oversee the preparation of budgets.
6. Sign fiscal forms and instruments as necessary.
7. Approve expenditures under $200.00 or as stipulated by the Board.
