Would you like to help South Oakland Shelter manage the front desk and greet our guests?
Would you like to make a difference working with a diverse population?
If so, we are looking for dedicated volunteers who would like to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting us in ending homelessness.
South Oakland Shelter is looking for volunteers willing to commit to a few hours on a weekly basis working at our front desk. This is a great opportunity for those looking for experience working in a Human Services / Social Work field, as well as those interested in fulfilling community service hours!
The front desk responsibilities entail:
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Assisting with client and community member needs
- Tracking shelter calls
- Greeting donors and guests
If you are willing and able to make a dedicated effort to ending homelessness, we welcome you to join our team!
