As a member of our Board of Directors, you would have the following opportunities:
- Organizational leadership and advisement
- Organization of the board of directors, officers, and committees
- Formulation and oversight of policies and procedures
- Financial management, including adoption and oversight of the annual budget
- Oversight of program planning and evaluation
- Personnel evaluation and staff development
- Review of organizational and programmatic reports
- Promotion of the organization
- Fundraising and outreach

Heart of Florida Legal Aid Society's mission is to continue providing quality advice, counsel, and direct representation in the areas of family law, domestic violence, and immigration law to indigent litigants residing in Hardee, Highlands, and Polk counties.

Our advocacy promotes financial stability for families, prevents family violence, and affects positive change in our community.
