PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Are you passionate about saving lives? Enjoy seeing the immediate effects of your volunteer work along with a great social experience? Then join the American Red Cross Home Fire Preparedness Campaign (HFPC) which is our nationwide initiative to save lives by installing free smoke alarms and providing fire safety education to New York City residents. As of July 2015, This campaign has already resulted in 15 documented lives saved!
OPEN TIME DAYS
Flexible. Time commitment for each role varies. Approximately, 4-6 hours per event. Volunteers will need to engage in a HFPC event a minimum of once every 3 months.

- Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview (Classroom or Online)
- Home Fire Preparedness Campaign Guidance and Training: Safety for Home Visits, Smoke Alarm Installation, and other required training
