Health & Awareness combined their 4 th Annual Pre-Thanksgiving giving event that feel veterans families with Christian Embassy International Church and their Thanksgiving Feeding Hungry Program.

"No man or woman is an island. You just cannot go through this life and be selfish," WallACE said.

"Ninety-nine percent of us are just two paychecks away from being in the food line. If you do good deeds, when your time comes, good always comes back to you."

We are in search for gospel singers, Hungry For the Lord. Who are blessed with entertainment skills willing to volunteers their talent to help feed the hungry?

If you have a business, we welcome placing a box in your location; collecting canned food from donors during the campaign.

The program is volunteer-driven and they are vital to the success of your support in this needed food drive. The campaign, which starts September 1st, seeks donations from people in the community, asking $15 donation for a Thanksgiving Gospel Concert Dinner to everyone that donate nonperishable’s, canned goods, and $20 donations to those that prefer a monetary donation.

Proceeds go to the Pre-Thanksgiving giving and the Feeding Hungry Program, which gives out Thanksgiving food baskets to those in need of support.

The campaign is especially important at this time of year, because donations drop off during the summer, and food bank supplies are critically low before the holiday season.

The Saturday’s Gospel Concert will offer the opportunity to serve a wider variety of different groups needing food, including our veterans. Social workers, counselors and spiritual leaders are encouraged to submit names of families in need.

Contact WallACE Green if you would like to submit information for a veteran family at 757 376-7645; Contact Pastor Rodicia Lambert to submit community family at 757 479-5412.

In orer to have a successful event volunteers are needed and welcome.
