If you're interested in helping the most vulnerable in our community receive the specialized medical care they need, we have a unique volunteer opportunity for you!
The Free Clinic is looking for experienced Medical Assistants to work alongside our Clinic Director to secure patient referrals with area medical specialists. Volunteers are needed a few hours a month during daytime hours and the schedule is flexible. Ideal candidates will have strong phone skills, basic clerical & computer skills, ability to organzie and prioritize, multi-task, and assure patient confidentiality.If interested, please contact us today! Our Mission is provide health care to and advocacy for the people of the Chippewa Valley who have no health care alternative.
Description
We provide free medical services to the poor and uninsured in the Chippewa Valley. We host a general walk-in clinic every Tuesday night as well as a bi-monthly Diabetic Clinic, bi-monthly Mental Health Clinic and monthly Vision Clinic.
Through the hard work of dedicated volunteers we provide medical examinations, patient advocacy, lab services, and free medications within limits.
We are located at 1030 Oakridge Dr in Eau Claire, WI.
