For our dogs in a foster home, a dog walker is a life-send! Dog walkers can help boarded dogs exercise, improve their social skills, release pent-up energy, and practice leash walking. It also allows fosters more time to focus on the general care and wellbeing of their foster dogs, allowing them to continue fostering in a sustained way.
This is an ongoing position that requires general animal handling experience. You choose your schedule and level of commitment per month. Training will be provided.
As noted, this position is for our foster locations. Once we have discussed your area of commitment and location, we will connect you with the closest foster in your area.
We also request that you:
- Keep the confidentiality of any personal information you handle
- Communicate with other volunteers in a professional manner
- Maintain consistent email communication with Underdog volunteer organizers

We are based in the Phoenix East Valley. We are funded by members and others' donations. In addition, we are an advocacy group, striving to educate the public on the issue of animal welfare.
