LOOKING FOR SOMEONE 55 PLUS
Board Treasurer: Report finances for a local community farm regularly to Board and Commission (at least quarterly); assure payroll is handled accurately and on time; assure revenues and expenses are recorded accurately, Monitor for appropriate financial controls; arrange for appropriate annual reports such as 990, PC, and Payroll related reporting; assume a leading role in preparation of annual Budget and Business Plan; manage handling of cash at two annual public events; lead or participate in Capital Planning; serve on Board Executive Committee.
Requirements: The position requires someone who has a background in accounting, is a good communicator, and a cooperative team-player.
Hours: This position is between 200 and 250 hours a year, in addition to other Board responsibilities, depending on how much work is delegated to the Finance Committee.
Training: Provided by other Board members.
