Currently looking for volunteers to help us create a strong back office to support our great new charity, the Charm Foundation. Volunteers should be skilled in administrative support applications like Word, Excel, Power Point etc. Urgently need someone to create the following based on information accrued during our research.
- Patient research and invitations to join our virtual and local support groups.
- Create a dedicated patient database
- Create a dedicated physician database
- Develop a policy and procedure booklet for volunteers
- Create educational booklets for new volunteers and patients
- Create worksheets for volunteer and board member reqruitment.
Volunteers do not necessarily have to possess a complete knowledge of lupus. We will train,

Create innovative programs to provide assistance and resources to individuals affected by lupus by addressing their challenges and improving their quality of life.
Description
Lupus is a very complex disease that is difficult to diagnose and often patients suffer for years before getting a proper diagnosis and treatmemt. There is no cure and very little dedicated treatment. Lupus also presents in varying degrees of severity. Some people have very little symptoms and lead normal lives while others with the same diagnosis are completely disabled and cannot leave their homes needing constant care and treatment and financial assistance to pay for the large portion of services not offered and/or are not covered by insurance. Our goal is to reach every individual with lupus and provide desperately needed funds for their treatments, home assistance, social and emotional support, education etc. We also desparately need advocates to educate the public about the disease so that we can fund research to find better treatment and a cure.
