5th Connecticut Marches to War

We are looking for H.S. students who wish to sharpen their college applications with a one a day marketing internship. We are looking for students with cars who can post up to 50 marketing flyers in their hometown on posterboards in their libraries, churches, town halls and any place in their town which has posterboard. In certan places you may leave up to 10 flyers. We anticpate that you will post in about 10 - 15 places and this volunteer opportnity will take about 2 hours of your time. In return, you may add to your college applicaton or resume that you served the Society as a marketing intern. In addition, if you wish to attend the event that we are promoting, let us know and we will grant you admiision to the event free of charge.

The Historical of Society of Easton brings members from our community and the region together to share and learn about our town’s history. We do this by collecting, preserving and interpreting our town’s history and heritage for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations.

Description

Formed in 1968, the Society keeps families in Easton and other nearby communities connected with the past through social events and education about our town’s history and the history of its people.

Overview of the Organization The Society manages two historic properties in Easton; the Adams Schoolhouse, a one-room schoolhouse (circa 1850) in Easton, and The Bradley-Hubbell Museum and Farmstead (circa 1816) which is listed on both the Connecticut and National Registers. The Society also offers a free series of lectures, family friendly events and programs geared toward learning more about Easton, regional and Connecticut history.
