Growing Home is in the process of revitalizing its media outreach efforts and we are currently in search of an experienced PR Professional to join our volunteer marketing and communications committee. The ideal candidate should have experience in public relations, some solid media contacts, creative promotional ideas and the willingness to donate a few hours (2-8, varies per month) to help promote Growing Home. The Marketing and Communications Committee meets once per month for an hour.

General committee member duties include: strategic planning & goal development, reviewing print publications, suggestions for attracting supporters and partners, oversight of staff-run social media campaigns, etc. The public relations expert would have the following additional duties:

PR Professional

• Monthly press release
• Get GH more media exposure
• Story types: issue stories (position ourselves as experts); elevate thinking and discourse around our issues
• Consider non-traditional venues (alumni magazines, etc.)

If you would like to learn more about Growing Home before you commit to our committee, please consider joining us for a tour. Each month, Growing Home hosts two scheduled tours. This one hour presentation will give you a behind-the-scenes look into Growing Home’s vision to transform lives by nurturing children, strengthening families, and creating community.

Monthly tours:
2nd Thursday from 12pm-1pm
4th Wednesday from 5:30pm-6:30pm
