Hospice volunteers provide companionship and other services to those living with serious illnesses to help the patient, their family and caregivers in many ways.
Every first Friday of the month from 12:00pm - 1:30pm we discuss various volunteer opportunities with our hospice program at Guardian Angel.
The next meeting will be on August 7, 2015.

Description
What is Hospice?
Hospice is a philosophy of care. That care is provided to people with life-limiting illnesses, in their own homes, where they can be in familiar surroundings and close to their loved ones. The focus of care at this time shifts from curative care (curing the disease) to palliative care (to provide more comfort and quality). Important and difficult decisions need to be made about issues that most people know very little about. Families find that they are physically unable or do not know how to care for their loved one.
