We are looking for someone to manage our busy volunteer program!
We have a steady stream of volunteers throughout the year in all of our programs and our annual auction in the spring requires close to 100 volunteers in total to make our 1 night event successful.
We have an online application process and would like someone who can give 5 +/- hours per week and more during auction time to respond to the volunteer candidate applications, screen and make sure requirements are met (background check etc...), provide an orientation as needed and get the volunteers matched up with a volunteer position at our agency.
This volunteer coordinator position could also participate by helping with an annual volunteer appreciation week in April.
If you like to work with people, have good organizational skills & like helping children & families in our community, this could be the right fit for you!!
Much of the work this position requires could be done remotely & would not need to be done entirely at our center.

Section 2. Specific Purposes.
The specific purpose of Old Mill Center for Children and Families is to partner with the Corvallis and surrounding Benton County communities to help children and families thrive through services and resources targeting the safety, support, and success of all children. General areas of programs and services offered to fulfill this mission include:
(a) PRIMARY PREVENTION efforts aimed at preventing child abuse and neglect; educating and empowering new parents; providing the physical and emotional resources needed to facilitate healthy, lasting family relationships; reducing the effects of major stressors on family functioning; and advancing general understanding of the role of safety and security in positive childhood development in all families.
(b) SUPPORTIVE EDUCATIONAL AND THERAPEUTIC SERVICES designed to address individual and family problems or areas for growth that inhibit or preclude the emotional, social, physical, and educational development of children in positive, nurturing family environments.
(c) EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY efforts that increase awareness of childhood problems and their causes; create and propagate effective, collaborative relationships between child and family resources in the community; increase understanding and appreciation of diversity in families in the community; and make access to resources effective and available for all families.
