ORGANIZATION: JA of Georgia (Junior Achievement)

Join Junior Achievement of Georgia’s team of business professionals who coach and advise students through the process of starting their own business over the course of 18 weeks in the JA Fellows program. JA Fellows is an education program designed to engage youth in real life experiences where they can take risks, mange the results, and learn from outcomes. JA Fellows culminates in annual competition where teams showcase their businesses acumen and compete for awards, scholarships, internships, and title of "Company of the Year."

Why Volunteer?

Become a mentor to students, sharing life and career experiences and play a pivotal role in positively impacting the next generation of leaders. Enhance and build communication, leadership and management skills throughout the 18-week program.

What does it mean to be a JA Fellows volunteer?

Commit 4 - 5 hours each week to facilitate the JA Fellows curriculum with a team of volunteers for a group of 15 - 20 high school students. Volunteers are provided with a volunteer program guide outlining tasks and objectives for each meeting. Volunteers receive weekly Junior Achievement staff support throughout the duration of the program. Successful volunteers interweave their personal business experiences into the lessons and provide students with the guidance to "think outside the box."
