Help kids 7-12 think, learn, and tinker in reDiscover's Tinkering Club. Serve as a sounding board, extra pair of hands, safety monitor, and skills instructor to help us create a safe enviroment where kids can build out of their wildest imagination.
Tinkering Club provides a kid's makerspace, complete with woodshop with power tools, sewing station, crafting room, and a warehouse of materials, to tuition-paying and scholarship children from Mar Vista, Venice, Culver City, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, and surrounding communities.
We rely on a mix of staff and volunteers to provide a minimum of 1:5 adult to tinkerer ratio to ensure a safe workshop without limiting kids' access to real tools.
If you can commit to one or more days on a regular weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule we are looking for you.
