ORGANIZATION: Project for Pride in Living (PPL)

Join New Foundations Program, PPL as a tutor-mentor volunteer for our After School Program! Children in grades K-12th are looking to create memorable and positive relationships with tutor-mentors who are friendly, energetic, patient, creative. Bring forth the kid in you and have fun while doing so!

As a tutor-mentor volunteer you will provide snack and homework help, as well as engage children in activities to increase literacy skills, social skills and self-regulation skills. Our After School Program offers all types of fun activities to promote social, educational and literacy skills. Activities vary week by week and can include, science experiments (make something explode!), cooking projects (sparkly unicorn poops), creative arts (engage in therapeutic & self-regulating activities), guided reading groups (run off to a new world using your imagination!). We seek volunteers who are dedicated, passionate, positive and outgoing to foster healthy relationships with the young people in our program. Apply today to make a difference in a child's life!

After School Program is every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm beginning September 22nd and ending June 2nd.
