ORGANIZATION: INMED Partnerships for Children

  • 6 people are interested

You would compile a list of local businesses that make local charitable donations or have community giving programs. This research would be partly internet-based, but likely to require a bit of calling to local businesses to inquire about local giving (both cash and services) and to obtain contact names, request procedures, etc...

This internship will receive a small stipend and we would work with you to meet school requirements for internship programs. Most, if not all, of the work can be done at home and hours would be flexible.

Ideally, we want a college student who can commit to a full semester, if not more.

Mission Statement

The mission of INMED Partnerships for Children is to rescue children from the immediate and irreversible harm of disease, hunger, abuse, neglect or violence and to prepare them to shape a brighter future for themselves and the next generation.

Description

INMED is an international humanitarian development organization that came into being 25 years ago in response to the suffering of children without medical care and essential medicines, and because of a belief in the power of partnerships.

Since 1986, INMED has worked in more than 100 countries within five priority areas: health and nutrition, education and skills building, food security and climate change, youth development and family services. Within each of these areas, our programs create lasting impact by addressing cross-cutting factors that influence the health, lives and opportunities of vulnerable underserved and hard-to-reach populations, by encouraging community collaboration and inspiring self-advocacy and self-reliance.
