Part-time GED Instructor for Community-Based Adult Education Provider
An enthusiastic, flexible instructor is needed to provide instruction to adult GED students. Key responsibilities include classroom management, lesson planning, and instruction in Language Arts (Reading and Writing), Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. The instructor will help students prepare for the GED exam. The instructor must be able to adapt instruction to the varied learning styles and academic abilities of adult learners. The candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Description
For 53 years, the Employment Skills Center has been helping individuals become more employable, productive, and self-sufficient community members through Education and Training. We are a community based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, a Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) authorized Adult Education provider, and a United Way partner agency.
Formed in 1967, we have served more than 18,000 individuals in Carlisle and Cumberland County, helping them to become more self-sufficient and productive citizens. The adults that we serve are in need of improving their basic literacy skills, acquiring job-readiness and employability skills, passing the GED examination, and refining their life skills to enable greater achievements.
