Join us as a Course Walker for our 16th Annual Twilight Walk for Wishes event on August 15th! This event is a chance for wish families, community members, volunteers and staff to come together and share the power of a wish!

Course Walkers will be stationed throughout our 1 mile twilight walk to keep the crowd moving and keep up the enthusiasm as our walk comes to an end. You will be provided with signs and other attention catchers to let the crown know how special your role is!

Teens who are over 16 year of age are welcome to participate for school service hours!

*Food and water will be provided for volunteers.

Mission Statement

Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Description

Our Make-A-Wish chapter grants one wish every three days in the Central California region. Volunteers throughout our chapter support our mission work in wish granting, special events, community relations, corporate fundraising, community awareness and other critical areas. Volunteers work in local communities by impacting the lives of Central California children. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. It is important to note that during this time, we have made volunteer orientations and trainings readily available virtually for the health and safety of everyone.

Wish Granter

Wish Granters work in teams of two as a liaison between a wish family and Make-A-Wish. They help determine a child's wish and play an instrumental role in helping to turn the wish into reality. You must be at least 21 years old, complete Wish Granter training, and be able to make two or more visits to the family during the course of the wish process. Wish Visits have recently become available to do virtually as well.
