TRAIL CREW LEAD TRAINING
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Sanborn/Skyline County Park on hwy 9
Under the direction of County Parks Staff, Trail Crew Lead Volunteers perform trail work at various parks. Join our Trails Program Coordinator, Greg Bringelson, as he shows a hands-on approach to the basics of trail layout and design. Topics will include: clearing and brushing techniques, tread, drainage and maintenance. Training will be on a part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail at Sanborn/Skyline Park. Meet at the Indian Rock Parking Lot.
No special skills are required but the work may be moderately strenuous. Tools, work gloves and snacks are provided, but it's recommended that you bring your own work gloves and water bottle (we can refill your bottle). Sturdy hiking shoes, long pants and long sleeve shirt and sun or rain protection are highly recommended.
For more information or to register for this event, please contact the Volunteer Program at volunteer@prk.sccgov.org or call (408) 918-4930.
