Free Event T-shirt for Volunteers!

On Friday, September 11th, 2015, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula and TowneBank will host Bright Lights, Bright Futures, the Grand Opening event for the TwoneBank Athletic Park located across from the Pinedale Manor Boys & Girls Club. This 1.5 million dollar multi-sport facility was developed for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula in partnership with Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation to engage and develop youth through sports, ultimately changing the cycle of violence in our community.

Bright Lights, Bright Futures will be a Field Day Carnival with activities such as bounce houses, ring toss, a Punt-Pass-Kick competition, dunk tank, and more! There will also be an Alumni v. Club Member Mushball game, a Boys & Girls Clubs tradition. At the end of the evening we will have a grand reveal of the stadium lights! This event is a "fun"raiser, not a fundraiser, as our goals for this event are to provide a free, family-friendly event to raise awareness for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula and educate the community about the opportunities provided to every youth member of the Peninsula at BGCVP. Volunteer will fill the following roles:

*Selling Concessions

*Game Attendants

*Selling Raffle Tickets

*Assisting during Scrimmages

*DJ Assistan

*Balloon Animal Assistant

*Face Paint Assistant

*Clean-up

*And More!

All volunteers must attend a mandatory pre-event meeting on Thursday, September 10th at 6pm. This will last no longer than one hour. At this time all volunteers will be given their volunteer assignments, event t-shirts, and contact information. This meeting will be held at the Boys & Girls Clubs Administrative Offices located at:

Volunteer with court mandated service are encouraged to express their interest and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
