TNR - Trap, Neuter, Return Feral Cats

This is a volunteer position responsible for assisting in the process of educating and coordinating the public with trapping situations for free-roaming cats.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):
• Counsel people on the options for free-roaming cats.
• Deliver or arrange for trap pick up.
• Assess trapping sites by phone, e-mail or in person for trapping safety.
• Setup traps at a site per MEOW’s guidelines, monitor or arrange for monitoring when necessary.
• Retrieve captured cats, and deliver to predetermined place for next step.
• Attend training session with trapping coordinator. This would probably include going along on a trapping mission in order to have hands on experience with guidance from coordinator.
• Make sure traps are clean before returning them to MEOW.
• Other duties as needed.

Desired: Ability to work independently. Have good people skills, ability to calmly explain things, and deal with all types of people. Experience working with people and feel comfortable answering questions. Experience working with cats/kittens.
