The Road To Recovery program provides transportation for cancer patients to and from medical treatments. Volunteer drivers donate their time and the use of their personal or other approved vehicle to help patients travel to their appointments and then back home. The program is offered to people with cancer who have no means of transportation and/or who are too ill to drive themselves. Access to transportation is a major factor in cancer treatment, and this American Cancer Society service offers assistance to people who otherwise might not be able to keep their treatment appointments.
