Calling all St. Cloud Volunteers!! A Place for Grace is looking for 2-4 individuals to help with their GED tutoring program. Participants in the GED program work with experience tutors to achieve their goal of passing the GED test and becoming 10 times more likely to be employed. Recent graduates of the program have even gone on to pursue a higher education at area tech schools and colleges!

If you have experience with tutoring high school math (geometry, algebra, pre-cal) or experience in ESOL tutoring, then we have a great opportunity for you to give back to your community!

The commitment is twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) from 6-9pm., beginning July 28, 2015.

Let’s give the participants in this program a better chance of success, together! Be A Hero. Volunteer!

Why volunteer with Volunteers for Community Impact? We provide training, a background check, supplemental insurance, and recognition to RSVP volunteers at no charge. RSVP is federally funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Mission Statement

Our mission: "Improving Lives Through Volunteerism."

Description

We are the leading organization for senior volunteerism in the greater Central Florida area, serving Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties. Just last year, 1,186 caring adult volunteers gave 438,683 hours of service. That is more than $9.5 million dollars worth of volunteer service being poured back into our communities.

Previously known as Florida Senior Programs, VCI has been the sponsoring agency for the REtired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and Foster Grandparent Programs since 1977. Our 36 year presence has proven our aptitude for providing meaningful and impactful volunteer experiences.

VCI provides membership benefits and support to volunteers aged 55+, at no cost to the volunteers or their volunteer stations. Just a few of the benefits of membership include: Supplemental insurance while volunteering, a dedicated coordinator, and matching to find the perfect position to fit the interest of the volunteer.
