Campbell Creek Science Center will be hosting a water education festival on September 9, 10 and 11. Come out and help us teach 4th grade students about water and the creatures that call the water their home as they travel from station to station on the creek!

Each day will be divided into a morning shift (8:30am-noon) and an afternoon shift (noon-3:30pm). Donuts will be served in the morning, and lunch will be provided between the two shifts. You area welcome to sign up for as many shifts as you like!

Experience in science or teaching is helpful, but training will be provided. Please feel free to contact us with any questions!

The Anchorage Alaska Public Lands Information Center supports the appropriate use and enjoyment of Alaska's public lands and resources through "one-stop shopping" for public lands information, trip-planning assistance, and resource education.

Description

Operated by the National Park Service, the Anchorage Alaska Public Lands Information Center welcomes nearly 80,000 visitors, locals, and students each year. Park rangers and volunteers provide information on all of Alaska's public lands, offering trip-planning assistance and interpretive services while encouraging visitors to protect Alaska’s natural and cultural resources. Educational programs for students are offered within the center as well as through outreach visits to local schools.
