The Environmental Center of San Luis Obispo (ECOSLO) seeks volunteer Board Members, specifically for the Finance Committee, to join in the leadership of our organization. Currently, ECOSLO has eight Board members.
We are looking for individuals who are committed to environmental advocacy for the San Luis Obispo county natural environment. ECOSLO works to advocate for the environment and supports or works with other groups to do the same. We also host regular beach cleanups, city and county trail work days, and docent-led hikes about education for everyone to be stewards of the earth.
We are currently in need of Board members willing to be active and support this nearly 50-year-old community based organization. Board meetings are held once a month. Average time commitment for board service is four to eight hours per month (2 hours for monthly board meetings, plus events, committee meetings, and follow up).
Those with background in one or more of the areas below are especially encouraged to apply:
- Financial (or basic comfortability with reviewing/reporting on financials, analyzing/preparing budgets)
- Event Planning & Fundraising
- Marketing & Media - online & print
We hope you will consider learning more about being an ECOSLO volunteer board member! Please contact us for more information. programs@ecoslo.org or 805-544-1777.
