Elder Friends is seeking compassionate, patient and understanding individuals to volunteer just 3 hours a week visiting a homebound senior in their own home. After a 3 hour informational training session and a reference/background check, you can begin visiting one of our waiting seniors!

To promote the dignity and independence of seniors who are in need of nutritious meals, companionship, and Alzheimer’s care.

Description

Meals on Wheels San Antonio was founded as Christian Senior Services in 1977 as a joint venture between St. John’s and Grace Lutheran Churches. Initially, the agency delivered eight meals daily to homebound seniors and established an adult activity center for five senior clients.
