We are looking for individuals with expertise in fundraising to join our fundraising committee which assists our small nonprofit in securing funds to effectively implement programs and build greater capacity.

Job Description for Fundraising Committee Member:

The Fundraising Committee's job is not simply to raise money. In addition, the Fundraising Committee is responsible for overseeing the organization's overall fundraising strategies. This committee is made up of board members, community members, and a member of the Swift Youth Foundation staff. The responsibilities of the Fundraising Committee include:

  • Development of a fundraising goals and priorities in alignment with the fund development plan. Working with the Executive Director in efforts to raise money
  • Taking the lead in certain types of outreach efforts, such as hosting fundraising parties, meeting with prospective donors, or stewarding existing donor relationships.
  • Delegating or recruiting additional volunteers to accomplish fundraising goals and activities.
  • Monitoring fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that fundraising efforts are cost-effective.
  • Completing other tasks, as identified in the organizations fund development plan.

More than a camp, the Swift Youth Foundation provides year-round mentoring programs that offer life-changing experiences to elementary school-aged children who are economically disadvantaged. At the same time, we empower teens and young adult volunteers to provide positive mentorship to the communities we serve, developing leadership skills in the process. We design and provide year-round programming in the form of summer camp, weekend activities, and after-school programs. Collaborating with community partners and volunteers makes our STEAM and values-based programming fun and engaging.
