Help us provide the best possible resources to the travelers, students, and educators who visit us seeking information on Alaska's vast public lands, outdoor recreation opportunities, and natural resources!
The Alaska Public Lands Information Center is seeking volunteers with excellent organizational skills to inventory and organize the resources available for visitors and educators including books, DVDs, videos, and brochures. Volunteers are needed to:
- Create a database of existing resources
- Assess materials for relevancy
- Weed outdated items
- Research availability of updated resources

Mission Statement
The Anchorage Alaska Public Lands Information Center supports the appropriate use and enjoyment of Alaska's public lands and resources through "one-stop shopping" for public lands information, trip-planning assistance, and resource education.
Description
Operated by the National Park Service, the Anchorage Alaska Public Lands Information Center welcomes nearly 80,000 visitors, locals, and students each year. Park rangers and volunteers provide information on all of Alaska's public lands, offering trip-planning assistance and interpretive services while encouraging visitors to protect Alaska’s natural and cultural resources. Educational programs for students are offered within the center as well as through outreach visits to local schools.
