Help us teach kids about the amazing environment we live in here in Alaska!
The National Park Service is seeking Education Assistants for our after school programs for k-5 students. Volunteers are needed to help us develop environmental education lessons, games, and activies and then present these programs in local Anchorage schools.

Mission Statement
The Anchorage Alaska Public Lands Information Center supports the appropriate use and enjoyment of Alaska's public lands and resources through "one-stop shopping" for public lands information, trip-planning assistance, and resource education.
Description
Operated by the National Park Service, the Anchorage Alaska Public Lands Information Center welcomes nearly 80,000 visitors, locals, and students each year. Park rangers and volunteers provide information on all of Alaska's public lands, offering trip-planning assistance and interpretive services while encouraging visitors to protect Alaska’s natural and cultural resources. Educational programs for students are offered within the center as well as through outreach visits to local schools.
