The America Needs You - New York (ANY) Young Leadership Board (YLB) is a diverse group of professionals committed to ANY’s mission to bring about economic mobility for ambitious, first-generation college students by providing transformative mentorship and intensive career development.

ANY seeks young professionals with at least three years of work experience who are interested in leveraging their social and professional networks in support of our mission. YLB members commit to a two-year membership term (renewed annually), during which they work collaboratively with ANY Staff to:

• Fundraise
• Recruit new students and volunteers
• Help ANY secure corporate partnerships
• Provide strategic support to the Programs team

• Give back to the community by supporting an organization doing vital work
• Network with other young professionals in the New York area
• Receive invitations to exclusive ANY events
• Listing in Annual Report, ANY Annual Benefit journal, and other materials
• Co- and Vice-Chairs invited to attend Governing Board meetings

Requirements of Young Leadership Board Members

Active members should:

• Attend at least 80% of the YLB monthly meetings
• Plan and execute YLB sub-committee initiatives with ANY staff input
• Sell (or purchase) tickets to the YLB Spring Fundraiser
• Contribute to the collective annual YLB fundraising goal
• Provide a substantive list of potential event attendees and supporters
• Attend at least two ANY workshops per calendar year
• Connect ANY with two internship leads each year
• Connect ANY with in-kind donations (i.e. meeting space, discounted/free catering, professional attire, etc.)
