Bird Care Assistant, Atwood Environmental Center

As part of its outreach programming, the Atwood Environmental Center houses seven birds of prey, including owls, hawks, a kestrel, and an eagle. We need the help of one Bird Care Assistant daily. This can be a different volunteer every day, or a single individual, helping between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (ideally). Responsibilities include feeding and watering birds, cleaning crates, and (if appropriate) handling and holding the birds.

Training will be provided. Volunteers receive complimentary use of Rockford Park District facilities/services.
