Volunteer for the 2018 Parliament
Each Parliament of the World's Religions is a once in a lifetime experience. No Parliament is like the other, but one constant is the amazing work and dedication that our volunteers contribute to making each conference unforgettable.
The 7th Parliament of the World's Religions is gathering in Toronto, Canada on November 1st through November 7th for the 2018 Parliament of the World's Religions. Volunteers are needed starting immediately to assist now and during the event.- Volunteer with PoWR - Individuals interested in volunteering for the Parliament before the 2018 Parliament of the World's Religions will be working closely with Parliament Board Members, Staff, and Committee members on special programs and assignments. - Volunteer at the 2018 PoWR - Individuals interested in volunteering for the 2018 Parliament of the World's Religions are required to serve a minimum of 18 hours during the week of October 31st through November 7th. Assignments include, but are not limited to:
- Assembling Packets in preparation for the registration
- Hospitality - assist special guests to assist during the Parliament
- Door monitors for entry into the various halls, handing out materials, checking for name badges, etc.
- Registration - assist Thursday, November 1st through Wednesday, November 7th to work the registration and information
- Small session aides assigned to be the representative at specific workshop, assisting the presenters, handing out materials, doing the room count, getting evaluations collected and returned
- Information center booth -providing friendly information on Toronto, on the location of things, on food, etc.
- Medical assistance - professional medical availability at special location in time blocks during the event, and possible on call referrals
- Live tweeting and social media during the smaller sessions, recording the sessions
