South Oakland Shelter is looking to put together a reliable committee of tech-savvy volunteers to help with data entry, computer maintenance, and other technology related activities.
Our hope is to have a core group of reliable volunteers who can not only help to grow our organization, but help our clients to learn how to utilize technology in their lives.

Our Mission
is to provide temporary emergency shelter to those in need and work to remove them from the cycle of homelessness. Our mission also includes being a community advocate for effective solutions to the problem of homelessness and the need for affordable housing.

Our Vision is to end homelessness for all who complete the program. Our goal is

Serve the maximum number of persons in need through creative programming.
Design and provide effective follow-up services to assure progress towards permanent housing for clients.
Seek solutions targeted to the increasing number of homeless
Explore elements required to expand the number of clients.
